How to Apply to UC San Diego
First Year
You’re a first year, if you’re currently in high school or have graduated from high school and are not enrolled in a regular session at a college or university. Even if you have completed college courses during high school, you’re still considered a first year.

Transfer Student
You’re a transfer student if you’ve been enrolled in a regular session at a college or university after high school, excluding summer sessions. UC San Diego enrolls transfer students at the junior level. Nearly a third of our undergraduate class are transfer students.

How to Accept UC San Diego's Offer of Admission
You can accept your offer through the Applicant Portal at any time before the deadline to learn more about what UC San Diego and your Undergraduate College has to offer.
