University Living

University Living offers something for both on-campus residents and those commuting from off campus.

Residents

At UC San Diego, you get to learn where you live - in one of our diverse residential neighborhoods. Residential facilities are unique to each College and offer a variety of room sizes and layouts, as well as dining options.

If you’re a first-year student, you’ll likely live at your College or in one of our other dynamic undergraduate communities. If you’re an incoming transfer student, you will have the option to live on campus in a transfer student centered living-learning community.

Residence halls and apartments provide a wide range of experiences including community development activities, 24/7 security, and a team of Residential staff to support you. UC San Diego’s Housing and Dining program is one of the most comprehensive and lowest priced in the UC system.

Everything you want in one place for one great price

You save on extras like 24/7 high-speed internet access and premium cable TV. We also include services that give you time to be a student.

Including but not limited to:

  • Housekeeping for common areas
  • Utilities (water, electricity, and gas)
  • Trash and recycling services
  • On-site laundry facilities

In addition to great amenities, you get to live and learn with other students, experience all that campus life has to offer, and have access to resources – right outside your door.

Commuters

If you’re living off campus, there are plenty of useful resources, tips and study spaces designed especially for you.

Find community in these popular gathering places:

Price Center Commuter Concourse

The Commuter Concourse is a great place for taking a break, studying, or hanging out before, after, or between classes. This lounge features group study rooms, a computer lab, a kitchenette and vending room. It’s also home to the All Campus Commuter Board and the All Campus Transfer Association. The lounge is open 24 hours, Monday through Thursday and is conveniently located on level 1 of Price Center East near the campus shuttle stop.

Popular study and community spaces are available in every College neighborhood - no matter where you are on campus, you can find a place to relax, study, or connect with other students.
